Wait, what? You read that correctly. People will gather at MSP airport this weekend to pull a 60,000 pound Delta jet across the tarmac. Talk about a stellar workout! It's the 6th Annual Plane Pull, and it all benefits Special Olympics Minnesota.

According to the Special Olympics, over 40 teams of up to 8 people will compete in the Plane Pull in hopes of receiving the fastest time of pulling the plane 25 feet across the tarmac. "The winning team walks away with a trophy and ultimate bragging rights."

And get this, you can watch the action! The Plane Pull is a free (parking and all) family-friendly event that’s open to the public. It begins at 9 am on Saturday, September 7th. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day. All spectators will need to check-in at the event entrance.

All donations support Special Olympics Minnesota and its mission to transform the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through the power of sports.
