Owatonna Students Are Going to Summer Camp for Free

Thanks to a generous local foundation, Owatonna-area high schoolers get the chance to attend summer camp at no cost this year. This local foundation signed to sponsor Owatonna high school students to attend the BestPrep's Minnesota Business Venture career and leadership development summer camp. The sponsorship will pay for the student's room and board, registration fee, and camp materials and activities. The students will also receive a $75 stipend for travel expenses upon their completion of the camp. Minnesota Business Venture is a week-long camp where students get the chance to work side by side with industry professionals while staying on a college campus. Throughout the week students learn about ethics, career preparation, interview skills, business, marketing, and money management, among many other extremely valuable skills for their future. This year's Minnesota Business Venture will be held at St. Cloud State University July 8th-13th and at St. John's University July 22nd-27th. Registration is currently open!
