Owatonna Man Injured On I-35 South Of Medford Thursday Morning
A 72-year-old Owatonna man was injured Thursday at 5:43 a.m. after the vehicle he was driving lost control on the wet roadway and rolled over, south of Medford on I-35.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 72-year-old Michael Dawayne Mcgilberry, was traveling northbound on I-35 just south of Medford when his 2001 Ford Escape hit standing water on the interstate. Mcgilberry lost control of the SUV entered the ditch and rolled over.
Mcgilberry was taken to the Owatonna hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Responding to the scene of the accident with the State Patrol was the Steele County Sheriff's Office and the Owatonna Police. It was reported that Mcgilberry was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
