To share is good, usually. But the Owatonna High School girls hockey team was not in that sort of a mood Saturday night. The Huskies blanked Northfield 2-0 to capture the outright Big Nine Conference championship. The teams tied their early season match up in Northfield. The Huskies ended their season 12-0-1 in the league and 15-8-2 overall.

The Raiders won the conference title last season, their third straight. OHS and Northfield shared the title in the 2019-20 season. This season's title is the Huskies ninth overall. Playoffs begin Wednesday, February 9.

The 2-0 win Saturday was the Huskies ninth shutout of the season and third straight. Ava Wolfe has a school-record 20 shutouts for her career. Samantha Bogen scored 2:53 into the first period. Izzy Radel doubled Owatonna's lead 2:25 into the third period.

OHS outshot Northfield 26-24, but the Raiders had a 14-5 shot advantage in the third period. See the box score from the Minnesota Hockey Hub.
