Owatonna was on their game and the Falcons were not on Friday night as the Huskies girls won the game 59-31 in a Big Nine match-up at the Owatonna gym. The Falcons shot only 23 percent from the field while Owatonna shot 51 percent for the game. Elana Palmer had eight to lead Faribault and Sydney Schultz had 16 to lead Owatonna. Rachel Hanson, Grace Amacher, Elana Palmer and Bennett Wolf were the State Farm Insurance players of the game for the way they tried to keep the Falcons in it.

Owatonna moved to 8-3 and 7-2 in Big Nine play, while FHS is 6-5 and 3-5. Faribault faces Rochester Century on Tuesday while Owatonna has a make-up game with Red Wing on Monday night.
