The Music Boosters of Owatonna is a group dedicated to the support and advocating music and music education as essential to the lifelong learning of Owatonna students and community members. They recently held their benefit concert on Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church and exceeded their $8,000 fundraising goal.

Jesse Hess, Co-President of the Music Boosters of Owatonna, informed us that the fundraiser raised $8,508, and the night of music was "super fun" and featured "lots of talented performers".

Nearly all of the 350 chairs that were set up were full inside Trinity Lutheran Church. The night was not only full of music but a silent auction was also held with different items up for bid, from various Owatonna area businesses.

This was the 11th annual Music Boosters of Owatonna Benefit Concert, and it was the first held in the month of April, as the normal benefit concert happens in January, but due to the ongoing pandemic, and some performers not feeling their best in January, the concert was moved to this past weekend.

If you missed out on the concert, you can still support the Music Boosters of Owatonna, by making a donation through their website here, or you can mail a donation to:

The Ten Commandments Of Top The Tater

'Top The Tater' is a staple for us here in the Midwest. I have never met a person who hasn't loved Top The Tater. However, there are people who don't understand the importance of how to eat it, and how to properly respect the little green container of joy.
