The Minnesota Department of Transportation is having an open house on Thursday, April 18th in Mantorville to provide information about some bridge replacements along Highway 57.  The replacements are slated to take place on Highway 57 north of Mantorville near Berne.

The West Concord Police Department wants to make sure residents in the area know about the upcoming event.  Beginning May 1st three bridges along Highway 57 between Mantorville and Wanamingo are scheduled to be replaced.  The bridges are over the North Branch Middle Fork of the Zumbro River, Middle Fork Zumbro River and Milliken Creek.

HIghway 57 will be closed to through traffic and detoured to Highway 56 by Goodhue County Road 11 north of the construction and Dodge County Road 18 south of the construction.  Detour signs will be in place for accessing Berne on Dodge County Road 24 from the west.  Mn-DOT says the project is expected to go from May to October.

Representatives of Mn-DOT and the contractor will be available to answer questions and provide information from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the county board room at the Dodge County Government Services Building in Mantorville on April 18th.

The open house is just what it indicates.  An open meeting where people can stop by anytime during the time frame of the event and learn more about the project, offer feedback, ask questions and then leave.
