The University of Minnesota Horse Team is again offering certificate courses for horse owners and horse professionals. All courses are online, six weeks in duration, and begin January 13, 2020. In order to receive a certificate participants must earn 70 percent on quizzes and participate in three online course discussions, If a certificate is not wanted you do not have to take the quizzes or course discussions.

Four courses have been offered in previous years and one new course is being offered this year. They include Growing and Feeding Horse Hay, Horse pasture Establishment and Management, Basic Horse Nutrition, and Manure Management. New this year is Equine Biosecurity which focuses on preventing or reducing the spread of infectious disease.

The cost for year course id $75 and you must be registered by Sunday January 12, 2020. If you would like more information or to register contact your local University of Minnesota Extension office.
