Winter Storm Takes Aim at Southern Minnesota
A winter storm watch is in effect starting at noon Tuesday and lasting until Wednesday afternoon for the southern third of Minnesota. About 3-5 inches are expected in the immediate Faribault area, but accumulations of 6-8 inches are expected as you go farther south.
Blowing and drifting snow will also be a problem, creating create difficult travel conditions.
This is still a developing situation, and we will post updates as needed. You can listen for on-air updates too.
The winter storm watch area is defined in the box below as the dark blue area.
