There were a couple of races that had people voting in multiple counties.

With all 51 precincts reporting in the Minnesota Senate District 24 race, it wasn't much of one on the DFL side with Vicki Jensen receiving 89.77 percent of votes cast with a total of 1,430 votes. Rich Bailey challenged the incumbent and garnered 163 total votes, or 10.2 percent of votes cast.

On the Republican side, Faribault Mayor John Jasinski was not challenged and still received 983 votes.

The unofficial voter turnout was about 11.2 percent for Rice County thanks to Lonsdale and Northfield.

In Northfield, 12.2 percent of registered voters cast ballots and in Lonsdale the unofficial number was 57.6 percent. There was a 6.1 percent turnout in Faribault, which could be a record low.

In Steele County, just over 2 percent of registered voters went to the polls. In Waseca County, there was a 8.5 percent turnout, unofficially. Le Sueur County had a 5.2 percent turnout and Dodge County 4.8 percent. Fewer than 1 percent of registered voters went to the polls in Olmsted County, unofficially.

In Waseca County, candidates for County Commissioner in District 1 were pared down to Douglas Christopherson and James Peterson with 136 and 90 votes respectively. Jody Wynnemer came in a distant third with 35 votes.
