In a letter to Northfield Area Chamber members dated March 29, 2022  President Lisa Peterson announced she is stepping down to go to a new challenge in the advancement of her career.

Here is her letter.

"Dear Friends,

"It has been my honor and privilege to be able to serve Northfield and the surrounding area as the chamber president.  It has been a genuinely exciting opportunity to support the business community and help plan some of the best events in Southern Minnesota.  I am proud of the work we have done together and how we have grown the chamber over the past few years."

"This is bittersweet, but the time has come for me to take on a new adventure.  I will be leaving the Northfield Area Chamber April 15 and taking on a new role as Marketing Services Director for the Twin Cities Gateway Visitor's Bureau beginning in May!  I am looking forward to building connections with the hospitality partners of the Gateway Communities, challenging myself, and continuing to grow professionally."

"I will miss all the amazing members, board members, community partners and our awesome staff that I have been blessed to work with over the past years and all the businesses I have been so fortunate to work on behalf of and support.  The Northfield Chamber is ready to excel even further in 2022 and although I will not be a director part of the chamber's growth and successes this year, I am excited to still be able to watch it happen."

"Wishing the Chamber nothing but the best and looking forward to my continued involvement in other ways for the betterment of our community!"

With gratitutde,
Lisa Peterson
