Nitrogen Smart Interactive Online

The Nitrogen Smart Program has been around for a number of years. The course was taught in person by University of Minnesota Extension Educator at the Mankato Regional Office Brad Carlson. Nitrogen Smart has been available online too for a couple years. Now it is available as an interactive online course.

The course takes about 3 hours to complete. It has a nice feature where you can begin the program, pause it and complete it later at another time. There are no more nitrogen decisions to be made this year. I have read many research studies and all found that at this stage of corn development after pollination, adding more nitrogen does not increase yields.
