The United states Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new annual survey needs to be done with farmers, ranchers and private land owners. The goal is to help the USDA better understand what it is doing well and where improvements may be needed. This is the result of President Trumps Management Agenda that requires High Impact Service Provider agencies across the entire federal government conduct these surveys. County FSA and NRCS offices are included in this survey.

There will be a selection of 28,000 producers that will receive a survey. However, all farmers are encouraged to take the survey on the website farmers.gov/survey. The survey has 20 questions on it and will take only about 10 minutes to complete. The website survey will be open for at least 6 weeks and then will be closed when the USDA receives a 30 percent response rate.

Of course your response will be confidential and individual responses will be considered in total with others. If you have questions contact your FSA office or NRCS at your local USDA Service Center.
