National FFA Convention

I am really looking forward to heading down to Indianapolis Indiana next week for the 92nd National FFA Convention. It is convenient to fly into Indianapolis. Plus from the hotel in downtown you can walk a few blocks to all the activities in the Indianapolis Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium and Bankers Life Fieldhouse.  The Bankers Life Fieldhouse is where the Indiana Pacers play and the Lucas Oil Stadium is the home of the Indianapolis Colts.

This year there are 69,944 FFA members and guests  preregistered for the National FFA Convention. I believe that is a record. This is one of the largest conventions held in the United States every year! The Trade Show or Career Fair as I call it has more than 400 exhibitors covering more than 253,000 square feet! When you go through the Trade show I call it sensory overload! Every one of the colleges, business and military recruiters are trying to have a display that gets FFA members to stop and talk to them.

Yes, it is going to be a fun couple days to hang out with all those FFA members in the blue FFA jackets! By the way all the FFA interviews from area schools will be on the air all day on Friday November 1, 2019.
