NAFB Convention in Kansas City

Wednesday afternoon We arrived in Kansas City for the annual National Association of Farm Broadcasters (NAFB) Convention. I met a couple other Farm Broadcasters in Albert Lea and we rode down together. There was a welcome event last evening but the convention really gets underway this morning.

By the way, I read the post about Minnesota livestock producers being blamed for a bad smell in Kansas City. Maybe I have been around livestock too long but we did not smell anything unusual when we go to Kansas City!

The major event this morning is Trade Talk. Farm Groups, Commodity Organizations and all kinds of Agri-Business set up booths in a big convention hall to do interviews with Farm Broadcasters. This is my favorite part of the NAFB Convention. Later this afternoon are the NAFB Business Meetings. That is exactly a fun time but it is part of being a member of the NAFB!
