Motorcycle Race Fans Should Be Excited That Racing Is Back In Faribault
Start your engines, motorcycle racing is coming to Faribault this June. Specifically, the racing will take place at the Rice County Fairgrounds at the end of June on the 26th, or if it rains the rain race day is the 27th. The 2nd Annual Billy Hofmeister Battle of the Twins motorcycle races will take over the fairgrounds the last weekend in June.
According to the Facebook event put on by Faribault Harley Davidson, the event will be flat track motorcycle racing, using a 1/4 mile dirt track. Besides the racing, on Saturday the entire weekend gives motorcycle enthusiasts something to look forward to beginning on Friday with the start of the 3-day swap meet at 9am.
On Saturday there will be racing, but before that begins a free biker breakfast will be held at Faribault Harley Davidson at 9am. If you are into vehicles with 4 wheels rather than 2, there is still something being offered for you as there will also be a classic car roll-in starting at 9am, at the Fairgrounds.
While the event is still a few weeks out, it's not a bad idea to put it on your calendar as a reminder. I am excited that the racing is back, and that we are seeing more and more events happening this spring/summer.
Regardless if you are into 2 or 4 wheeled vehicles it should be a pretty fun time. You can see the ticket costs and a full schedule of events by heading here.
