MN Broker Markets Got Jittery Late Friday as DOW Dropped
Commodity Broker Gordy Kralovetz with Chiodo Commodities said the grain and livestock markets "got jittery" later on Friday when the U.S. stock market began selling off. Earlier in the day Friday we did see some nice gains before the stock market began dropping. Gordy said the fear was the U.S. stock drops hard Friday going into the weekend. We are the last market to close the week and then Asia is the first to open to start the week. Would the world financial markets be dropping hard Sunday night or Monday morning?
So, it was kind of an okay week as the grain markets seemed to be waiting for more bullish news? However, there was plenty of bullish news like two announced corn exports sales to China of more than 1 million metric ton plus China was buying U.S. beans too. Then there is about half of the second crop of corn in South America pollinating in hot dry conditions. Then there is the U.S. crop that is not getting planted because of cold wet weather.
