Miranda Lambert’s Ideal Night Includes ‘Shark Tank’ and Pizza
Miranda Lambert graces the cover of Redbook's November 2017 edition and is opening up about a variety of topics, including her ideal Friday night.
If you're a fan of ABC and FYI programming, then you have something in common with the country superstar, who admits that both are a part of how she unwinds from a busy day, along with everyone's favorite food. "Shark Tank and yoga pants, and I'm the happiest person," Lambert says about her favorite way to spend an evening. "I watch Tiny House Nation on a Friday night, and I'm like, 'This is it! Frozen pizza. Woo!'"
"The House That Built Me" singer also touches on matters close to her heart, like the ongoing debate about the lack of presence of women on country radio, calling it "B.S."
"Carrie Underwood still struggles, and that just blows my mind because she's got a million hits and she's Carrie freakin' Underwood. I tell them at the radio stations, 'Just play one of us; it doesn't have to be me. Then we all win.' I'll fight for it until I can't no more," she expresses.
Lambert scored five nominations for the 2017 CMA Awards, including one of the night's biggest accolades for Album of the Year for The Weight of These Wings, along with Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year for "Vice" and "Tin Man" earning two nods in the categories of Single of the Year and Song of the Year. The awards show airs live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (Nov. 8) on ABC.
