The Minnesota Zoo is bringing back their super-popular event this fall, the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular, for the 3rd year. My husband, myself, and a couple of friends went back in 2019 and it was a well-attended event but totally worth it. The carvings are absolutely nuts, there are some talented pumpkin carvers out there!

The Minnesota Zoo says that there will be thousands of carved pumpkins at the event. There's the big pile of carved, lit-up pumpkins that is the most popular one that circles the internet, but there are also so really intricately carved pumpkins too. Here's one from 2019.

Tickets are already on sale for the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular but the event doesn't officially kick off until October 1st. It'll run through November 7th, so if you miss it before Halloween, that's ok.

Ticket prices depend on what day and time you get your tickets for but the prices range from $20 up to $24 for adults, and for kids age 3-12 and seniors the price range is $18-$20. Bring Me the News reports that for Monday evenings tickets are limited because they're "reserving those nights for people with mobility challenges and sensory needs."

Masks are required inside at the Minnesota Zoo but as of right now masks are just encouraged outdoors and from my memory, most if not all of the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is outside. Of course, bring your mask just in case because you never know when you may need it.
