Get your mind off the latest snow storm with a blast of baseball as the Minnesota Twins winter caravan stops in Owatonna on Thursday.

The event runs from 12:15-1:15PM at Plaza Morena Campestre Grill, 160 N.W. 26th St. in Owatonna. There is no charge to attend. The format is question and answer. Current pitchers Trevor May and Taylor Rogers will be joined by broadcaster Kris Atteberry and mascot TC Bear.

Atteberry will lead the discussion of the coming season but encourages fans to bring their questions. The Twins are coming off a disappointing season but have made some changes in the front office with the addition of Derek Falvey as executive vice president and Thad Levine as general manager. The team features some exciting young talent, like slugger Miguel Sano. Pitching remains a concern and the future of second baseman Brian Dozier is still in a state of uncertainty.

The Twins host Twinsfest at Target Field this Friday through Sunday. Spring training is not far away. Players report in mid-February with the first game scheduled for Friday, February 24. The team opens the regular season at home Monday, April 3, against Kansas City.
