Minnesota Twin’s Strength and Conditioning Coach the First Woman to Hold this Position in MLB
Andrea Hayden is the strength and conditioning coach for the Minnesota Twins, and the first woman to hold this kind of position in Major League Baseball.
She told KARE 11 that she started as an intern at the University of Louisville then she worked at Exos in San Diego, moved on to work at USA Hockey Development Camps, then ended up in China working with their women's national hockey team, and now works for the Twins. That's quite the resume!
KARE 11 spoke with Taylor Rodgers about having Andrea as their strength and conditioning coach and he said, "She took it in stride. And I think the best part about it was that she's just herself."
Andrea said she really enjoys working with the guys and the only downside is that they don't have any women's sized shirts yet, just guy sizes.
