Minnesota produce farmers that purchased E. coli water testing equipment between the dates of September 30, 2017 and December 31, 2020 may be eligible to be reimbursed from the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's (MDA) mini-grant program. The maximum of $400 is available if a farmer sold at least "$5.000 in produce that is covered by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule."

Applications for the water testing mini-grant program are available on the MDA's website along with more information. There will also be a webinar that is optional on Thursday January 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm. You can register for the webinar on the MDA website too.

If you purchased water testing equipment for E. coli after December 31, 2020 the MDA will have a "full scale mini-grant program" for on farm testing in the future. That program will be available in January of 2022. More information will be coming after the first program. So. stay tuned for more information soon!
