With Monday being Martin Luther King Day the agricultural markets will be closed. The grain and livestock markets closed at the normal time today. The grain markets will reopen Monday evening for the overnight session and the Livestock markets will open the normal time Tuesday morning.

I did double check this afternoon. All Minnesota County USDA Service Centers and Farm Service Agency offices will be closed Monday. They will reopen at normal time Tuesday morning.

After the corn market lost 12 cents Thursday and then recovered all of that and more today maybe it is a good thing the grain markets have a long weekend to calm down. On second thought maybe it would have been better to begin trading Sunday night because the bulls had the upper hand?

It's seems like it has been a long time since the bulls have had the upper hand? I read early this afternoon there were reports that China bought a number of cargos of corn to be shipped out of the Pacific Northwest.
