Minnesota native, Maddy Paulsen, has done art as a hobby for a long time. Fun story: back when I was in high school I had her do my nails for prom! Nail art was one of her many successful artistic endevours, but recently she decided to take her love for art and create a business to share her love with others!

Maddy is the owner of MP Design. She can be commissioned to paint a piece of work for you, she can be hired to do henna tattoos, can be hired to paint walls, and teaches painting classes at different breweries, hotels, and restaurants around the Twin Cities! You know the kinds of classes I'm talking about. The ones where you grab some friends and a glass of wine and see if your painting actually turns out as good as the teacher's. Maddy has taught classes where you can paint the Stone Arch Bridge, the Spoonbridge and Cheery, and some beautiful trees with the skyline of the Twin Cities in the background, just to name a few!

Just this morning, Maddy was interviewed on WCCO about her newest class, "Paint Your Pet." This class is one like I have never seen. What you do is when you sign up for the class you send Maddy a picture of your pet and she puts together a layout, kind of like paint-by-numbers. So when you get to the event the paint is ready, and so is your canvas, and you fill in the blanks! At the end of the class you get to take home a beautiful painting of your pet that you did yourself. What an awesome idea!

Check out Maddy's upcoming classes at her website. If you're interested in going to one, purchase tickets soon because they sell out fast!
