Almost all of the County Fairs in Minnesota have been canceled because of COVID-19. That was a big disappointment for everyone, especially for those members in their last year of 4-H. Many County Fairs and 4-H Programs have come up with some very creative ways to host 4-H events while also maintaining all the safety rules pertaining to COVID-19.

Amanda Summers called earlier this week to let me know that they are having 4-H Livestock Shows this week on the Waseca County Fairgrounds. The shows are being held about at the time when they were scheduled. The families bring in the livestock for the show and then take them home right after the show. Everything is cleaned to get ready for the next show.

Amanda said there was quite a long list of rules and procedures from the University of Minnesota and Minnesota Department of Public Health that they needed to follow. Of course the Livestock Shows are not open to the public. However, click on the link and find out how you can watch the Waseca County 4-H Livestock Shows as they are being streamed live on Youtube.
