Tuesday on KDHL's AM Minnesota program Rice County Fair manager John Dvorak was my guest. It was fun to look forward to and talk about the 2021 Rice County Fair. Things are still a little uncertain with the COVID-19 pandemic but plans are moving ahead with the 2021 Rice County Fair. John said you cannot just wait until May or June and then put everything together.  Down payments were made for grandstand events and other acts the 2020 Rice County Fair that now will be applied to the 2021 Rice County Fair.

There is one major improvement that will be very evident at this year's fair, the new bathrooms!. The structure is up with pretty much all of the outside work done and the inside will be finished this spring. Plus, there may be another major improvement for the 2021 Rice County Fair, a new swine barn. The Rice County Fair received a grant plus John has another major donation and they are well on their way to getting the funds to build a new swine barn.

The design work has already been done so the new swine barn will be able to be used for storage over the winter too. Click on the link and listen to John discuss the new bathrooms and swine barn on the Rice County Fairgrounds.
