A business that began in Faribault in 1973 as Great Lakes Telephone Supply Inc, just won a highly coveted technology award from Intel. KGPCo was named Intel’s “Network Communications Solution Partner of the Year” at the Intel® Partner Connect 2019 Conference for the Americas region. 

In the online press release Peter Wraight, KGPCo’s Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer said, “Being recognized and awarded by our industry peers is a direct reflection of KGPCo’s hard work, vision, and values. Our commitment to innovating solutions is unwavering, and we remain at the forefront of helping our customers and partners by working with them to transform networks of the future.” 

According to the press release, the award is "exclusively given to companies that employ Intel® technologies and solutions while demonstrating excellence in technology platform design and integrated solutions sales, marketing and training."

The founder of KGPCo, Kathleen Putrah, has owned and operated the company for over 43 years. KGPCo deals in 'supply chain solutions, value-added distribution, and product/software integration services.'

According to KGPCo's website, the company is "the only large-scale organization that combines a comprehensive suite of technical strategy and implementation services with a global logistics network and portfolio of technology partnerships."

The business still is headquartered here in Faribault at 3305 Hwy 60 West.
