The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights used a balanced attack in the Castle Tuesday to defeat the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers in three sets.

Scores were 25-16, 25-22, 25-21.

I had the Knights with 30 total kills while the official Kenyon-Wanamingo statistics had 27 kills on the night.  My statistical sheet showed 12 hitting errors and 22 total errors for the night.

K-W finished with 8 ace serves, 3 service errors.  Josie Flom, senior, Nora Rechtzigel, senior each had 2 ace serves.

Rechtzigel finished with 8 kills according to the K-W statistics, 3 ace blocks and 3 digs.

Flom had 3 kills, 16 digs.

Anna Syverson, senior, tallied 7 kills, 1 block, 1 ace serve and 8 digs.

Addy Lindell, sophomore, had 4 kills, 2 digs.

Carmen Nerison, junior, collected 25 set assists, 7 digs, 1 ace serve.

Rachel Ryan, senior libero finished with 28 digs, 1 kill, 1 ace serve, 1 set assist.

Emilie Jarvis, sophomore, 1 ace serve, 1 set assist and 10 digs.

Audrey Haugen, sophomore, 3 kills, 1 dig.

Knigjhts Head Coach Tracy Erlandson said she was surprised her team swept the Buccaneers in the Gopher Conference match.  "Great balance was the key."

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown uncharachteristiically had a number of errors on the night.  My unofficial statistics had them with 28 total errors, 29 kills, 15 hitting errors.

W-E-M had 2 ace serves, 5 service errors.  I don't keep track of digs statistics during the broadcast.

My unofficial statistics had Addison Condon, sophomore, lead the team in hitting with 10 kills, 1 hitting error.

Claire Bohlen, senior, had 7 kills, 6 hitting errors, 1 service error.

Alayna Atherton, sernior, finished with 6 kills, 2 hitting errors.

Ashlyn Pelant, senior setter finished with 5 kills unofficially, 1 ace serve.

Kenyon-Wanamingo is at Medford Thursday while Waterville-Elysian-Morristown hosts New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva.
