The Kenyon Area Historical Society is having a Kenyon Cemetery Walking Tour called "Tales and Treats" this Saturday, October 10, 2020.  The event takes place between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Kenyon Cemetery.

Organizers say there are many stories to be told about people who lived in the Kenyon area and through their dedication helped shape the community into what it is today.

They say visiting a cemetery is a unique way to connect with stories from the past.

There will be people stationed at various locations throughout the cemetery to share interesting stories about some of the specific gravesites.  Actually the people that have been laid to rest there.

The presentations will be attendees a chance to hear about individuals who impacted the lives of the Kenyon community.

Individuals featured in the "Tales and Treats" event include Frank and Beulah Callister, Wayne Flaten, Ora Goodfellow, the M.T. Gunderson family, Fred Harapat, Milo Peterson, L.G. Picha, Harold Severson, Graydon "Soup" Stromme.

I researched but couldn't find when the Kenyon Cemetery Association was started or the year the cemetery was established.  The Kenyon Cemetery is located along Cross Street and on Mogren Hill.
