
Hwy. 14 Crash Involving Motorcycle Results in Injuries for Rochester Men
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two Rochester men suffered injuries in a crash involving a motorcycle.

It happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday.
A motorcycle and small SUV were involved in the crash. The State Patrol says the drivers were the only people involved.

SUV and Motorcycle Collide at Hwy. 14 Intersection in Rural Southeast Rochester
The crash happened at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and 40th Ave. SE in rural southeast Rochester.
The driver of the SUV was attempting to turn from 40th Ave. onto westbound Hwy. 14. The motorcycle was traveling east on Hwy. 14 when the two collided, the state crash report says.
73-year-old Charles Padilla was identified as the motorcycle operator.
The State Patrol says he suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for further care.

67-year-old Bekere Raba was driving the SUV. He also was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol indicates.
Alcohol Not Involved
Alcohol was not involved in the crash. Padilla was not wearing a helmet and Raba was buckled up, according to the state crash report.

Mayo Clinic Ambulance, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Rochester Fire Department also responded to the crash.
