Rush City, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Minnesota school bus driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI following a crash this morning.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says it was alerted around 8:15 a.m. that a Rush City Public Schools bus had gone off a road in the east-central Minnesota city. A news release indicates there were nearly 50 students on the bus, but they were not injured.

The statement also indicates a Chisago County Sheriff's Sergeant observed signs of alcohol impairment while interviewing the driver of the school bus. 59-year-old Kara Ffrench of Harris was eventually arrested and booked into the Chisago County Jail on suspicion of DWI.

Another school bus was dispatched to the scene and all of the students were safely delivered to their school.

The incident remains under investigation and the Sheriff's Office says additional charges could be recommended for review by the County Attorney's Office.
