
Minnesota Construction Zone Crash Sends Rochester Man to Hospital

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash in a southeastern Minnesota construction zone sent a Rochester man to the hospital Sunday morning.

He was the only person in the only vehicle involved in the crash. The State Patrol responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly before 6 a.m.

Rochester, MN Man Hurt in Single-Vehicle Crash at I-90/Hwy. 52 Interchange Construction Zone
The crash occurred at the Interstate 90/Hwy. 52 interchange southeast of Rochester, where year two of a massive three-year construction project to transform the interchange is underway.
A car traveling east on I-90 left the roadway then crashed, the state crash report says.
26-year-old Wyatt Allen Wirth was identified as the driver. He was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
Alcohol was not involved in the crash and Wirth was buckled up, the state crash report indicates.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Rochester Fire Department, Houston Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the single-vehicle crash.
