Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The National Weather Service in La Crosse is tracking a storm they say is capable of bringing accumulating snow to Rochester and the surrounding communities.

Forecasted accumulations for Rochester range from 2-5 inches. The system is predicted to roll into the region and bring a rain-snow mix Tuesday afternoon before switching over to snowfall.

The precipitation is expected to begin around noon Tuesday and continue into Wednesday morning. The predicted system is expected to cover roads with snow and create slippery travel conditions, especially during the Tuesday evening commute. 

Forecasters are advising motorists to plan for slick roads, slow down and allow extra time for travel.
