
Elderly Woman Killed in Northern Minnesota Crash
Roseau, MN (MinnesotaNow) - A collision in northern Minnesota Friday afternoon claimed the life of an elderly woman.
State Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash
The State Patrol says the deadly incident was reported around 3:30 p.m. in Roseau County. The preliminary crash report indicates a pickup truck was traveling east on Highway 11 when it collided with a westbound car approximately 7 miles east of Roseau.
Victim Pronounced Dead at Scene
The State Patrol identified the victim as 82-year-old Barbara Welberg of Baudette. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal crash.
A 43-year-old Roseau woman was driving the pickup truck. The State Patrol identified her as Shauna Dokken. She was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities Say Alcohol Was Not Involved
According to the State Patrol crash report, alcohol was not involved, and the deceased woman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
