The Center for Business and Industry of South Central College has developed a 21 hour GMAW (wire feed) Welding Course for those that want to improve their welding skills. This course was developed to introduce participants to the principles of MIG welding. It will be hands on training with minimal lectures. Some of the topics include welding safety, shielding gas and electrode selection. The class can serve as a continuation from previous introductory classes.

The class will be taught by John Smith and the cost is $350. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm starting February 7th through March 28th. Students need to provide their own gloves and welding jacket. Classes will be taught at the South Central College Faribault Campus. Many farmers are extremely talented and experienced at being able to service and repair their own equipment. Some even have a little side business welding and repairing some of their neighbors equipment.
