Iconic Cars Will Be On Display This Weekend in Rochester
At the bottom of this article, you can see and read about the "iconic" car that debuted the year you were born. Hopefully, yours is a little more exciting than mine. The Ford Escort was introduced the year I was born. Now, Ford sold a lot of these reliable cars but there isn't anything cool or sexy about them. You aren't going to turn any heads driving an Escort and I can't remember ever hearing about a Ford Escort car show.
Corvettes, on the other hand, are the real deal. These sportscars are truly a work of art and a bunch of them will be on display at a special event happening Memorial Day weekend in Rochester.
A group founded in 2004 and known as the Rochester Area Corvette Enthusiasts AKA RACE is hosting its first-ever Memorial Day Weekend Corvette show at Rochester Chevrolet, located next to the Apache Mall, on Saturday, May 29th. The event is open to the public and anyone with a Corvette is encouraged to register to participate on this website. Check-in will start at 8:00 AM with prizes handed out around 11:15 AM. Organizers say there will be hot dogs and lots of people "oohing and aahing!" Afterward several of the cars will parade around cruising through Rochester.
