Holidays and Food

Like many others I was sent out to the grocery store to pick up a few items before Christmas eve. As you can see the grocery store was a very busy place. It reminded me of how all of our holidays and family gatherings include food. Certainly Christmas is about church, presents family gatherings but all those gatherings include food too! How fortunate we are in the United States to have grocery stores so well stocked with safe affordable food.

We have an incredible agricultural system in the United States. It begins with farmers producing the raw agricultural products that in some form end up in the food products you see in the grocery store. I hope every one has a nice Christmas with their friends and families. If you are traveling drive safely. When your family enjoys snacks or a big Christmas dinner I hope you take a second and think about all the people and business involved in getting your food to the grocery store!
