After some tough competition, Hibbing Police K9 Chase and his handler Officer Joey Burns took home the title of Top Dog on the TV show of the same name last night. The town of Hibbing has shown it's support throughout every episode on the A&E Network and last night held a special screening at the Hibbing Memorial Arena for everyone to watch the series finale.

According to his very own Facebook Page Chase is: " A Belgian Malinois from the Czech Republic. He was born on June 15th 2017. Chase is currently trained in the following; criminal apprehension, narcotics detection, tracking, article recovery, handler protection, obedience and agility."

America’s Top Dog stars some amazing dogs alongside their handlers as they face off on a massive canine obstacle course designed to test their speed, agility, teamwork, and trust as they navigate a series of challenges over two rounds of competition.

Of course with this type of non stop action you will need people to report on all the play by play action. For that they have  sports broadcaster Curt Menefee and actor and comedian David Koechner who serve as hosts and break down the action, with sideline reporter Rachel Bonnetta catching up with the teams down on the course.

What a great thing for the Hibbing Community and a national platform to show how amazing these K-9 Officers are. Below is a video taken at the Hibbing Memorial Arena when they announced Chase as the winner. Not only do Officer Burns and Chase get to come home for a big celebration they also got a cool $20,000 for the win!
