The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME) has released the grain and livestock holiday trading schedule for the Memorial Day weekend. The grain and livestock markets at the CME will close at the normal time Friday early afternoon. I anticipated they would close early at around noon which is typical going into a long holiday weekend but not this time.

The grain and livestock markets will be closed Monday Memorial Day and of course there will be no overnight grain session Sunday night either. The grain markets will reopen for the overnight session at the normal time Monday evening. The livestock markets will reopen Tuesday morning at 8:30 am along with the grain markets too.

With all the action in especially the corn and soybean markets it kind of feels like we are in a weather market going into the 4th of July holiday bit it is only Memorial Day! with the tight corn and bean stocks you have to wonder how much action we might see going into the 4th of July holiday?
