The Red Cross is always in need of blood. But especially at this time of year -- when sometimes weather has prevented people from coming out to donate -- the need is greatest.

There is a donation event on Sunday at the Faribault American Legion from 1:30-6:30 p.m. All who donate blood that day will be eligible to win a new iPad Mini valued at $399. Call (800) 733-2767 or go to redcrossblood.org for questions or to reserve a donation time.
