Summer is nearly here, and music will once again fill the air on Thursday evenings in Faribault’s Historic Central Park for the 131st anniversary season. This summer’s music schedule boasts 10 nights of free concerts that the community is invited to attend.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends and family and plan to be at Central Park in Faribault on Thursday evenings this summer. The historic band shell in Faribault provides a great home to a summer tradition. There is no cost to attend the concerts, and the music starts at 7PM each Thursday.

Kicking off the summer series on June 15 is the Boys of America. The Bavarian Musikmeisters play on June 22. On June 29, Central Park will be filled with the music of the Fridley City Band. The Mankato Area Community Band entertains the crowd on July 6. Playing on July 13 is the New Prague Area Community Band. The Owatonna Community Band visits on July 20, and July 27 is the Gold Star Band. The Bend in the River Big Bend performs on August 3, and the Lakelander Barbershop Chorus performs on August 10. Closing out the series on August 17 is Jivin' Ivan and the Kings of Swing.

These concerts are a wonderful way to experience the arts, enjoy the nice weather and show your support for Faribault events. Plan to attend and spend an evening or two taking in the concerts in the park this summer!
