Anoka County residents and those in surrounding Washington and Chisago County might want to keep their eyes open for the 3 remaining escaped wolves from the Stacy, Minnesota Wildlife Science Center, as 4 had escaped last week in what some think was a mission to find a wolf pup that was taken to be bottle-fed. One of the wolves was found already, sadly having been hit by a passing vehicle. That wolf had sustained a broken back and was euthanized.

KMSP-TV in the Twin Cities posted about the escaped wolves yesterday after the wolves escaped last week. According to the story; Animal care coordinator Megan Beckle told Fox 9 that "Overnight we have a six-foot ground apron, they dug down, over the ground apron and up and went looking for their puppy"

KMSP-TV's story went on to add that the four escaped wolves came from "a pack of 10" an it was "likely" the escaped wolves were "determined to find the pup they believed was missing" but was really just being cared for by staff.

The Wildlife Science Center is located in Stacy, and staff told Fox 9 that the wolves are more than likely hungry and or scared as they have never had to hunt on their own. Those living in the area of the center are being encouraged to call the Wildlife Science Center if they see one of the remaining three wolves in an effort to trap and bring them back to the center.
