In a unique year, the State True Team Championships were virtual in 2021, and Southeast Minnesota was well represented in this year's meet.

Team's sent in their scores when they participated in some of their final meets of the season, and this year, it was GMLOKS Girls who took first place with a score of 607.5 in the Class A Meet. L/FC/MC took second in the Boys meet with a score of 536. Pine Island was first place scoring 550.

These numbers are still unofficial, but regardless it was an impressive run for many teams in Southeast Minnesota.

In the Girls meet, L/FC/MC took 3rd, while St. Charles took 8th and Chatfield 11th. In the Boys meet, GMLOKS took 3rd and St. Charles 6th.

There are many talented runners across the area, and they will continue to show off their talents next week.

The running continues this week with Sub-Sections coming up on Thursday, June 3rd, and then Sections on June 8th and 10th.

Section Baseball and Softball are underway this week. Baseball got their postseason started on Memorial Day while Softball will get their start Tuesday.

Caledonia, Chatfield, PEM, and Lewiston-Altura moved on in Section 1AA East Baseball, while Rochester Lourdes, Pine Island, Triton, and Goodhue advanced in Section 1AA West play.

Hayfield, WEM, USC, Wabasha-Kellogg, Lyle-Pacelli, Southland, Spring Grove, and Rushford-Peterson all advanced to the second round in Section 1A play. Second-round action continues for post-season baseball on June 3rd, at the high-seeds for Section 1AA play. While the rest of the Section 1A Tournament will play at Riverland Community College in Austin. They return to action on June 3rd.
