Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Charges are being prepared against a former Kasson Police Officer who is now being held in the Olmsted County jail on suspicion of criminal sexual conduct.

51-year-old Julio Baez-Cisneros was booked into the Adult Detention Center Tuesday evening and is currently listed as awaiting arraignment on a list of 5 felony charges. Olmsted County Attorney Mark Ostrem says his office is still preparing the criminal complaint against Baez-Cisneros and he anticipates that he will be formally arraigned in Olmsted County Court Thursday morning. The nature of the allegations against the former officer will be released at that time.

Baez-Cisneros was critically wounded a few weeks ago in a suicide attempt just outside of Mantorville, where a citizen found him in a grassy area next to a rural subdivision bleeding from a gunshot wound.
