The Florida Home belonging to Former U of M Football Coach Lou Holtz and his wife in Orlando Florida caught fire early Sunday and nearly burned to the ground. The 11,000 sq. foot mansion might have caught fire due to a lightning strike. It took 60 firefighters and 26 trucks nearly three hours to put the fire out.

The good news was that no one was injured in the blaze.

The former coach was doing work for ESPN until the two mutually decided to part ways earlier this year. A statement from ESPN said that they are glad that everyone appears to be ok.

He was the coach of the Gopher Football Program in 1984-1985. He is the only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games and the only coach to take 4 different programs into the final top 20 rankings.

Holtz did coach the NFL's New York Jets in the 1976 season.
