The Scott Watershed Management Organization along with the Scott, Carver, Le Sueur and Rice Soil and Water Conservation Districts will be hosting a workshop, Finding Profit in Cover Crops. The workshop will be held in Le Center on Thursday March 14, 2019 form 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at the American Legion. There is no charge to attend the workshop and the lunch is free. They do ask that you pre-register by calling the Scott Soil and Water Conservation District at 952-492-5425.

There will be a farmer led panel covering multiple topics including no-till, strip-till, and cover crops so your questions can be answered by producers with experience growing cover crops. Sarah Carlson with Practical Farmers of Iowa will speak on making cover crops pay. Dean Sponheim a farmer from Osage Iowa will talk about the paybacks of cover crops.
