This sounds like a fun and educational event! The Rice County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will be hosting a Film on the Farm Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Jim Purfeerst Farm located at 7803 240th Street East Faribault. Movie time is 8:00 to 9:30 pm. Bring your own lawn chair plus the Rice County SWCD will be serving beverages and popcorn.

The movie being shown is titled "Kiss the Ground" which is a documentary that was featured on Netflix "that sheds light on regenerative agriculture's potential to balance our climate, replenish our vast water supplies, and feed the world." You can pick up a free ticket at the Rice County SWCD office located at 1810 30th Street NM in Faribault or online at: www.riceswcd.org.

In addition, after the movie there will be a panel of local farmers that will discuss the film and soil health conservation efforts in our area. Everyone is welcome!
