Farmland Documentary Showing June 11 In Kasson

The Dodge County Farm Bureau will be sponsoring a screening of Farmland this evening in Kasson. Farmland is a documentary about the next generation of farmers and ranchers by Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Moll. Farmland received notable attention during its theatrical run, securing reviews in several national mediums and film festivals across the country including Atlanta, Cleveland and Newport Beach, Calif. The documentary will be shown this evening at the Kasson State Theatre in Kasson starting at 6:30PM.

Before the screening, the Dodge County Farm Bureau is sponsoring "Dinner with a Farmer." It was planned as a picnic at the Veterans Memorial (North) Park in Kasson. However, because of the weather the location has been changed to the Commons Area of the Kasson Middle School. The time is the same, from 4-6PM. A burger basket prepared by Erdman's Grocers will be available for only $5.
