If a sporting event is still on for this fall most of the time there are no fans allowed in the stands. This also goes for the Farmington High School girls swimming and diving team. This fall they are not able to have anyone in the stands to cheer them on. So the student-athletes' families and head coach came up with an idea.

It is not a new idea, it is being used for many professional baseball teams and football teams, and that is having cardboard cutouts in the stands. Except, KARE 11 says, these cutouts are not of just anyone, it is of the swimmers' families and their dogs.

I am not sure if other schools are doing this but if now, they totally should! It is a super fun idea and also gives the student-athletes a little motivation and some sort of sense of normalcy when they are not able to have friends and family in the stands this season.

If you know of other schools doing this, let us know! You can chat with us at any time and also send pictures and videos on our free app.
