Farmer Appreciation Day Is June 11, 2016

I sure hope you have marked your calendar for our first Farmer Appreciation Day at the Rice County Fairgrounds! For many years KDHL and our sister station KRFO in Owatonna have hosted the Farmer Appreciation Breakfast. The Farmer Appreciation Day will begin with a free breakfast, but it will be much more than that.

Being at the Rice County Fairgrounds we will have a lot more room for exhibits, kids activities, maybe even some machinery and animals. It has been moved from a weekday to a Saturday. Hopefully more people will be able to attend because it is on a weekend. While it is called Farmer Appreciation Day and there will be exhibits for farmers, everyone is welcome. This is an opportunity to have breakfast with farmers and maybe learn a little bit about modern agriculture.

We hope you join us on Saturday, June 11, at the Rice County Fairgrounds to celebrate farmers and all the work they do.
